THAILAND - Blue Witch LOVE Novelty Cup and Saucer

ITEM SPECIFICS.

• Material:  ceramics
• Dimension:  saucer - 16 cm., cup - 9.5 cm. (diameter of mouth)
• Pattern:  love / heart (unofficial)
• Design:  checkered, black and white hearts;  handle of the cup is in the shape of a heart; the heart handle is really cute and puffy.  Each piece is unique, handmade, and hand painted.
• Back stamp:  BluE WitcH (B, E,W, and H are in upper case).  The "W" looks like a trident.

Made in THAILAND.

NOTES:

• I bought about 10 sets from a local department store, Crossings, in December of 2002, intended as Christmas presents.  I purposely left 2 sets for me and my sweetheart (sweet!).
• There isn't any indication of where the item is manufactured.  But the brown box confirmed that the item is manufactured in Thailand.  I also asked the department store and they confirmed that the item is from Thailand.  Although the item is manufactured from Thailand, Blue WItch is not a Thai company.  Some ceramics company outsource their production in different countries.
• One set cost 20 USD.

A Bit of Trivia:

• Did you know that Blue Witch Ceramics is an English company that produces novelty mugs (and other pottery)?  They produce inimitable handmade ceramics, most especially mugs and coffee sets.  Have you seen giraffe necks, dog heads, cars, or musical instruments as mug handles?  Check out Blue Witch ceramics.
• I am not 100% sure if my Blue WItch cup and saucer is from this English company.  The reason I said this is because the  back stamp of my cup and saucer set is different from the current stamp / logo of the English company.  They might have changed it through the years.  (This requires some investigation and confirmation.)
